E.I. Hillin is an award-winning journalist and Oklahoma native. She obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in mass communication at the University of Central Oklahoma in 2013 and began her professional reporting career at the Muskogee Phoenix the same year.
During her span of work in print and digital journalism, she has worked for several Oklahoma newspapers as a staff writer and editor. Those publications include: Mustang News, El Reno Tribune, Yukon Review, Bethany Tribune, and the Red Dirt Report.
In 2018 a desire to further her career brought Hillin to northern California, where her dedication to delivering in-depth news on health, government, and cannabis for Sonoma West Publishers gained her three 2018 California Journalism Awards.
Hillin currently lives in San Diego, CA with her wife and works as a freelance content creator. Her passion for and knowledge of the cannabis industry has paved the way for her to continue writing in-depth news articles on cannabis politics, scientific research, and business.
