Dr. Stuart Titus, President and CEO of Medical Marijuana, Inc., recently visited with Larry Kudlow on WRKO’s Financial Exchange program to discuss the current state of the medical marijuana industry.
Dr. Titus joined Medical Marijuana, Inc. nearly ten years ago, first as an investor and then as an executive. During the interview, Dr. Titus discussed the incredible growth of the medical marijuana industry since he became involved in the company. He spoke of the expansion of medical and recreational legalization thus far, with a majority of U.S. states today having policies permitting the legal use of marijuana at some level.
The pair also chatted about the how the world is reshaping the way it thinks about cannabis. Dr. Titus shared his observations of the growing trends that are not just happening here in the U.S., but around the globe internationally. He hinted at the company’s successes in Brazil, Mexico, and Paraguay, where Medical Marijuana, Inc. has introduced cannabidiol (CBD) hemp oil products.
Dr. Titus went on to explain how the growing marijuana industry offers exciting opportunities, not just for investors, but also for the U.S. to create a more sustainable and renewal economy through job creation and increased tax revenue. He quickly highlighted the economic growth happening in Colorado since the state legalized adult use cannabis in 2012, and expressed his projection that legalization in the U.S. across the board is inevitable.
The two eventually spoke about the increasing number of studies looking at cannabinoids. With science backing medical marijuana, Dr. Titus explained how cannabinoids interact with the endogenous cannabinoid system, present in humans and all mammalian creatures.
Finally, Larry asked Dr. Titus about his upcoming scheduled appearances at the Cannabis World Congress & Business Expo in Boston. Dr. Titus, slated to talk at four different events at the Expo, explained he had presentations planned on the overall state of the industry, the science behind medical cannabis, and investment opportunities.
