Since 2014, Medical Marijuana, Inc. subsidiary HempMeds® Brasil has been providing legal medical cannabis products to the people of Brazil. Today we’re pleased to share more about the company and its efforts in this new video.

In the video, the HempMeds® Brasil team also discusses how it assists customers throughout the importation process, including getting approval by the federal health authority of the Brazilian government, ANVISA. Our team of Brazilians work with regulators to facilitate access to CBD and are proud to offer personalized help to interested patients.

Bringing CBD to Brazil

Real Scientific Hemp Oil (RSHO) is the first cannabis product to be legally imported into Brazil. Today, the government of Brazil treats the non-psychoactive full-spectrum CBD hemp oil as a prescription medication and offers full subsidization to approved patients. HempMeds® Brasil now has three cannabis products approved for importation into Brazil.

Prior to 2014, the government Brazil considered all cannabis, including hemp and its derived products, to be illegal. After a legal hearing, ANVISA granted the first import authorization for RSHO CBD oil. Following a series of historic rulings, ANVISA removed CBD from its prohibited substance use list.

Today, patients in Brazil interested in legally importing CBD oil can visit the company’s website to get started.

RSHO has since become the first legal cannabidiol product approved for importation in Mexico, Paraguay, and in the U.S. territory of Puerto Rico. Overall, MJNA’s RSHO products are available and shipped to more than 40 countries around the world.
