HempMeds® participates in this year’s South by Southwest festival as part of the event’s first ever Wellness Expo.
Medical Marijuana, Inc. subsidiary HempMeds® traveled to Texas to exhibit its bestselling line of CBD oil products at last weekend’s South by Southwest (SXSW) Wellness Expo. The inaugural Wellness Expo was held in Austin on March 10-11 as part of the massive yearly SXSW event.
SXSW is widely attended by visitors from around the world with thousands of individual events – including educational sessions, networking opportunities, concerts, films, gaming expos, and other official SXSW events – planned across the city of Austin.
Almost half a million people attend SXSW each year. This large and diverse attendance presented HempMeds® an immense opportunity to spread awareness for CBD among those interested in maintaining their personal wellness.
The SXSW Wellness Expo was hosted at the Palmer Events Center, located in Butler Metro Park in downtown Austin. The event was open to anyone who registered for a free pass. Businesses and brands participating in the event included exercise gear, athleisure, nutrition, supplements, natural beauty, and of course, CBD products.
This is the first time the event has ever hosted an exhibition focused solely on the mind, body, and spirit. As a Company of Firsts®, it was important that Medical Marijuana, Inc. participate in the first ever SXSW Wellness Expo through its portfolio company HempMeds®.
Attendees at the event gathered in numbers around the HempMeds® booth on the expo floor. There attendees were able to sample the HempMeds® line of CBD oil products, save big on our top products, and get answers to any questions they had about hemp, CBD, and the many wellness benefits provided by CBD oil products.
Media outlets like Fox 7 Austin were at the SXSW Wellness Expo, interviewing attendees and participating businesses to get a pulse of this inaugural event. The station stopped by the popular HempMeds® booth to learn about the benefits of CBD.
“Being here, it’s great to see all the different combinations. You have well established companies and brands, and you have people who are up and coming. The feeling of brotherhood and sisterhood around,” Stephen Jones, President of HempMeds, told Fox 7.
The two-day SXSW Wellness Expo featured more than just an opportunity to meet numerous companies within the wellness landscape. The event hosted stage and activity areas where attendees could participate in group wellness activities like yoga, meditation, strength training, and more.
